Tournament Format
Heads-Up (1v1) Poker using Hold'em. Double Elimination format with Winners and Losers brackets, so one bad beat won't knock you out. Each match is played at a Duel at Dawn table with a $20M buy-in each side.
Entry and Security Deposit
Total entry: $40,000,000 sent to the organiser with the message "THUC Tournament Entry".
$20,000,000 is your buy-in and goes directly to the prize pool.
$20,000,000 is a security deposit, held as a guarantee and fully refundable when you are eliminated from the tournament.
Why the deposit? Since the match winner takes the loser's $20M on the poker table, the deposit ensures that if someone refuses to pay or leaves mid-game, the victim is fully compensated from the runner's deposit.
Match Rules

The winner must return the $20M buy-in to the loser after the match.

Once the bracket is live, contact your opponent to set up the 1v1 table.

No mugging. Attacking your opponent during tournament matches is strictly prohibited. This includes organising mugs through other players.

You have 48 hours to complete your match once the round starts.

The winner must send a screenshot of the Game Log or final result to the organiser.
Breaking any rule will result in disqualification with potential loss of deposit and a ban from future tournaments.
Prize Distribution
The prize pool consists of 100% of all entry fees ($20M per player) plus any donations.
1st Place: 50% / 2nd Place: 30% / 3rd Place: 20%
Distribution may be adjusted based on participant count. More participants may mean more players finish in the money.
Donations
Donations of cash or items (to be auctioned or sold for the pot) are welcome and will grow the prize pool. All donors will be publicly thanked. If you want to donate to the organising team or volunteer to help organise, get in touch.
